- Welcome to the Department of Public Health at Anwer Khan Modern University (AKMU). Our commitment is to provide quality education, fostering innovation, and equipping students with the skills necessary to excel in their careers.
- Public health is not only multidisciplinary but a distinctive field of in academia which is Disciplinary in nature, Science and Arts of preventing disease, protecting health and promotion of health through organized community effort. Determinants of health is not only biological and genetic rather than it has so many social, cultural, economic, geographical and gender related determinants which are ever changing within the dynamics of environment and ecology. In the long run public health is the Human Rights; peace, early life, employment and working condition, food security, housing, healthcare services, income, social safety and security, contribute to the health of the community people. Public Health always emphasis on the healthy living rather than treatment at the hospital.
