I take the privilege to express my gratitude to The Chairman, Board of Trustees, to have selected me as the pioneering Vice-Chancellor of this prestigious university and thus grateful to our Honorable Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina. It is a matter of great satisfaction that we effectively could start the session with five programs namely; Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology; and also Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration under the Faculty of Business Studies.
With the kind support of UGC and our Ministry of Education, this university has expanded in many folds. The young university already accommodates over eleven hundred students and a substantial amount of students have obtained their degree certificates successfully on time. We are currently opening more multi-directional certificate courses in collaboration with Anwer Khan Modern Medical College and Hospital. Our newly opened departments (on being approved by UGC) shall be starting soon in this academic session are Bachelor of Science programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Fashion Designing.
