3. Executive-Master of Business Administration (EMBA)


The MBA for Executive offered by the Department of Business Administration of Anwer Khan Modern University is a thoroughly modern MBA designed to offer career-focused business education, and meet the business challenges of the 21st century. Our MBA program gives managers an international competitive advantage in the public and private sectors and prepares them to deal with all the ever-growing complex issues in the arena of business. Organizations are demanding leaders who thrive in a complex, cross-functional, and globally diverse environment. This MBA program delivers graduates as leaders who understand themselves, and their organization, in the context of a highly competitive and rapidly changing business climate. The broad objective of the program is to provide students with the essential professional tools as well as the foundations in content and competencies that will support their development as effective managers in a variety of organizational settings. MBA is open to all students holding at least a Bachelor degree from accredited colleges or universities and meeting the general admission requirements for graduate admission.


A student can receive MBA degree by completing 48 credits in 3 semesters in 1.5 years.


The credits requirements for a particular student for this program will be determined by the Advisor/ Coordinator of the Program or the Dean of the Faculty based on his/her academic records and managerial experience at an executive level. The student whose cumulative grade point average is below the minimum acceptable level of 2.0 or receives an F in a single course or more than one course is automatically placed on permanent academic probation. A student placed on academic probation will be allowed to continue enrollment at the University if they subsequently raise their cumulative GPA above a 2.0 through remediation. Failure to raise their cumulative GPA above a 2.0 or any subsequent semesters with a GPA below 2.0 or an F in a single course or more than one course will result in automatic dismissal from the University. A student on academic probation is ineligible to serve as officer or director of any student activity.


The courses are divided into general education courses, business core courses, major area courses and elective courses in each program. The University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh recommended a Uniform Grading system for all Public and Private Universities with effect from Session 2006-2007. The university follows the UGC grading system to prepare the results of all examinations according to its guideline and issue transcripts accordingly.


A student pursuing a BBA degree can do concentration in any of the following 9 (Nine) areas:
